18.  wearing a size smaller is the best feeling on a sunny spring afternoon.

17. hiccups are a soft stop, do not ignore them.  breathe through them and slow your roll

16. granola bars as puke-not so much

15.  sweet potato-soft food, but healthy and works well most of the time

14. the tabouleh on kroger's olive bar is GREASY and disgusting.  go to the lebanese market and pay extra

13. being a vegetarian and a bandster--not easy.  you have to focus and make good choices, which can be hard if you get hungry.  corny and quaint, but PLAN your MEALS

12. calories in/calories out is all fun and games until you try to live it

11. if you are not losing-you are doing something wrong...not filled properly, too many calories-usually you are grazing....

10. hummus has much less protein than one would assume-almost wasted calories if you ask me.

9. mexican food, usually works....think black beans, fish, rojo sauce etc and guac salad is the BEST

8. anorexia can creep up on you.  watch it and maintain it?

7. if you wake up at 2 am and eat a bite of cheesecake out of the fridge.  you will taste it until ummmmmmmmm  about 10 am

6. if you workout-hard, go in the sauna and then try one of those smoothies the gym offers

     you will projectile vomit in front of your car

     it tastes like, what i assume may be akin to, ASS

5.  NO LIQUID CALORIES-they creep up like a motha

4. crabcakes are your friend

3. pms-it will make you crazier when you have a band

2. latte-non-fat, the best breakfast ever.

1. when you have a band: do not eat tuna.  yacking tuna is not fun and smells really bad.

Hello Hello Hello

  • okay so here we go...
  • i had a lap band
  • i was fat
  • i was fat because my thyroid failed and was removed
  • i got fat in the process
  • i took on fat habits
  • i got fat
  • i took ownership of it (begrudgingly)
  • i did what was the best choice for me
  • here i am on the flip.....

those of you who know me in real life or from here elsewhere

lets not expose that side of me please

this is just about my band

my journey~man i hate when they say that it is so corny

my journey it is, my battles

my demons as i deal with this and i deal with my ideals of who i should be
